Performance Cycle Coaching from coach4bike.co.uk

Hi my name is Kevin Humphries, welcome to my website. I am the resident Cycling Coach at coach4bike.co.uk. I have set up this website in order to offer you quality structured training.

First of all a little background.  I am a fully qualified Level 2 Cycling Coach with British Cycling and an assistant Cycling Coach with the ABCC. I graduated from Liverpool University in 1997 with a combined honours degree in Sports Science and Psychology, 2.1 BSc(Hons), majoring in Exercise Physiology.  I am currently studying to become a Personal Trainer and hope to pass onto my riders some more of the general fitness knowledge which I am picking up day by day. Over the last 20 years I have competed in most of the cycling disciplines however, most of my success came from competing in Time Trials and this was where I concentrated most of my studying and racing over the last 15 years.  In 2005 after following a structured training plan designed by myself, I was able to lower my 25 mile PB to 55.26.  This was done on one of my local courses which is not known as a particularly fast course!  Now however, I have embraced all of the disciplines and am currently coaching, time triallists, roadies, track riders, triathletes, mountain bikers and perhaps what is expected to become one of the biggest disciplines; the Sportive Rider! So whatever type of bike you ride, I guarantee I'm your man.

I truly believe that anyone can improve with the correct structured training programme and hard work - and this is were I know I can help you!

Something to think about!  A great footballer does not always make a great football coach/manager!

The same can be said for Cyling; just because someone was once a "great" cyclist does not mean they are a "great" Cycling Coach.  You need to pick a Cycling Coach who is knowledgeable and passionate about the sport and is Coaching not for pure monetary rewards!  A Cycling Coach who can empathise with you and who will give all of his or her riders equal support and commitment.
